The overall theme for the weekend was ETHICS. Examples of unethical events were talked about. If a PD/PR knows that someone did not OEC refresh or did not refresh properly and they sign the NSP card is that ethical? If a "patroller" goes to another hill and represents themselves as a current, refreshed, compliant patroller, is that ethical? If a patrol does not require a complete on hill refresher of all members is that ethical? Items talked about: 1. Delays in registration due to National staffing 2. National Dues: We will know in June. 3. Ethical registration and compliance in training 4. OEC refresher and re-refresher. Refreshers registered with national and IT observation 5. On hill refresher, toboggan and ski/board pro. IT observation? 6. SES at all hills 7. TES at all hills 8. Divisional STW Dec 20 & 21 at Granite 9. Division to hold 3rd STW. MN likely location. Want one rep from every hill to attend. 10. Open and close Patroller 101 for candidates 11. For any major "event" let the chain of command know. 12. Toboggan Training DVD well received. Now working on second version with voice over 13. Ty Damon is a resource for drafting any info 14. PDs, PRs, Advisor's train/mentor your replacement. 15. Instructor Development for completion must see a presentation as completion of the class or CD. The presentation will be on a NSP activity. 16. Each patrol Medical Advisor should make contact with Division Medical Advisor Dr. Steve Wermer steve.werner@usa.net 17. MSAA meeting August 10-13 at Boyne Mi... PD's could go. 18. Signed waivers. At all Division and Region events. Under the direction of hill mgmt, hill events may require a waiver? 19. OEC makeup refreshers. Must be registered as a class and must be QA by an IT. One hill charges $50 for a make up 20. Remember financial statements are due. The rules of owning equipment is not NSP, it is IRS... ethics? These items, dates from the advisors meeting on the 19th and whatever you want to talk about will be discussed at our Region PD meeting on April 24th. The meeting will be at 6:30..... and as of right now in Madison. If a PD/PR can not make the meeting please send another person. The agenda and final location will be sent out later in the week. I will be out of town all next week.... Conducting an audit in Nebraska. c u soon T Tom Rabaglia thomas.rabaglia@dot.state.wi.us 608-592-7397 |
