Senior Alpine

Regional Senior on-hill events typically alternate between Cascade Mountain and Tyrol Basin.  The candidate clinic is now a 2-day event scheduled in January. Toboggan and skiing skills will be instructed.  The evaluation will take place a month later in February.

A big push has been made in recent years to refine the quality and uniformity of Senior events across the Division.  These efforts are reflected in the Central Division Senior Manual available for download at:

This manual clearly describes the expectations of and requirements for becoming a Senior patroller. 

I'm particularly proud of the progress we've made within the Regional Senior program.  We now have upper level PSIA alpine, telemark and AASI snowboard instructors throughout our ski pro calibration/evaluation team and incorporate video analysis in the candidate clinic.  The toboggan team has benefited greatly from calibrating yearly with other divisional evaluators and instructors at the Divisional Ski Trainer Workshops held in December.
